Maggie Binet AAF, AIFD, CFD, CPF, PFCI, TMA
Maggie is a winner of the Rocky Mountain Cup – Professional Designer of the Year, the Bridal Bouquet Competition Masters’ Division, and the Table Top Design Contest. She was named Best Wedding Consultant of the Year for Englewood, Colorado for 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. She has been awarded the President’s Award from the Floral Association of the Rockies and the Cherrie Award from the Colorado Retail Florists Association.
Maggie studied Urban Design at the University of Colorado. She was inducted into the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) in 2002, for whom she is a Certified Evaluator and Judge. She helped create the Certified Professional Florist (CPF) program for Colorado. She received her Professional Floral Communicators International (PFCI) credentials in 2011, and was inducted into the American Academy of Floristry (AAF) in 2017. She will achieve Laureate status in AIFD in 2022.
Maggie has served as design consultant for the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, the Colorado Children’s Chorale, and the ArtReach Festival of Trees. She has designed costuming for the Moscow Bolshoi Ballet performances in Vail, and set design for the New York Metropolitan Opera performances in Denver.
Maggie, with her company Le Jardin Binet LLC, designs décor for trade shows across the US. She also gives feisty fast-paced design programs and hands-on workshops inspiring experienced designers as well as those just beginning their creative journey.
Maggie’s students have gone on to have successful floral design companies and flower shops and to be designers for many of the best flower shops in Colorado and surrounding states.
In 2018, Maggie was 1 of 10 chosen to compete in The America’s Cup Floral Design competition which was held in Washington DC.
Maggie is approved to teach by the Colorado Department of Higher Education Division of Private Occupational Schools.
